I've preorded a nendoroid, Megami Device model kit, and an alter scale with Lunar toystore. It's convenient having a us-based figure company with a good price for 3-day priority shipping, even if it means waiting an extra month or two. Once shipped, items were packed carefully with bubble wrap and such.
With the nendorid, everything went smoothly! During the time I had changed my card, so the card I originally ordered with came back as invalid. I had to change my card on the site and email support my card expiration date (even though it was registered on the site but idk lol). Email response time was a bit slow as they were going through conventions, but it's to be expected.
With my most recent order, the Megami Device model kit, it was a bit underwhelming considering my first order. I was first sent with an email notifying me that my card didn't go through (again this during the time I had changed my card), but honestly I didn't mind too much since the order was registered with the old card. In the end I just opted for a paypal invoice. Only after I had paid, did they notify me that it wasn't in stock yet and would be shipped out during the last week of the current month or the beginning of next month. Around 3 weeks pass and I'm already in the middle of the next month without any emails or shipping updates so I decide to email them concerning my order. I got an email back that same day that the finance department didn't update my info and so it was never shipped. I feel bad not having messaged sooner, but I do feel it was a bit unreasonable to not have received an email from them after such a long time. If I never contacted them, would I have lost my preorder? I know they were planning on selling her at their physical location so the thought semi-haunts me lol. (*ㅎωㅎ) She was thankfully shipped out that same day and I have received her in great condition today. There are a few finger scratch marks on the box, but I chalk that up to the delicacy of matte finished boxes.
I still do have a preorder with them however and I still do like the convenience of a us-based fig store, especially with all the other ones closing down. I'm am a bit wry of dealing with them in the future due to inconsistencies. _(:з」∠)_ Though I believe most of it stems from them trying to manage other things as well such as the new physical location, conventions, etc. But that's not to excuse any poor service.
